FACULTY SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to senior high school students based on a recommendation by a high school advisor, administrator, or instructor. Valued at $1350.00 covering tuition for Fall Semester -12 hrs, Spring Semester -12 hrs, and Summer Semester - 6 hrs. Get the application from Wabash Valley College or your high school guidance counselor in January of your Senior year and complete by March 1 of your senior year.

WVC ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

Awarded to WVC sophomore students who have completed 1 year and received a Faculty Scholarship and based on GPA of freshman fall / spring semesters (usually requires an overall GPA of 3.25/4.0. Valued at $1,080.00 covering tuition for Fall Semester- 12 hrs and Spring Semester- 12 hrs. Get application from WVC Financial Aid Office and complete by Spring Semester Final Exam week in May.

WVC DEAN'S AWARD

Awarded to WVC sophomore students who have completed 1 year and have not received any WVC scholarship awards and also, based on college activities and overall GPA of freshman fall / spring semesters (usually requires an overall GPA of 3.25/4.0. Valued at $1,080.00 covering tuition for Fall Semester- 12 hrs and Spring Semester- 12 hrs. Get application from WVC Financial Aid Office and complete by Spring Semester Final Exam week in May.

FREE APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL STUDENT AID (FASA)

Completing this form determines if you are eligible for a MAP grant from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission, the SEOG grant for Illinois College freshman, the IIA grant for Illinois students, or the PELL federal aid grant. The FAFSA form also determines if you are eligible for the Work Study Program and/or student loans. ALL STUDENTS SHOULD COMPLETE THIS FORM.


WAYNE TECH. SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is a $1000.00 per year possibility going out to an incoming freshman that is enrolled in the Diesel Equipment Technology program. The applicant must fulfill the following guidelines:
ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT- A 2.5 cumulative GPA calculated from the 10,11, and the first half of the 12 grade
ATTENDANCE- A 90% attendance average for the 10, 11, first half of the 12 grade
CHARACTER EXCELLENCE- Provide at least four character reference letters from individuals (no student references) relating to the applicant: two must be from instructors and two from non-school personnel (ministers, business associates).
CAREER POTENTIAL- Submit a minimum of a one page statement, typed and double spaced, including the applicant’s occupational objectives and interest in the diesel/heavy equipment field. Students should also include community and high school activities, work activities and other information deemed appropriate.

The scholarship remains in effect so long as the student maintains a 3.0 gpa, makes satisfactory progress in class, work activities, and is not subject to any disciplinary action.

S&K TOOL SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is a tool discounted scholarship awarded to an incoming freshman. Candidates are submitted by the Diesel Equipment Technology Instructors to S&K Tool Corporation.

S.W.A.M.A.C. SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is a $500 scholarship awarded to a freshman in good standings. It is awarded to one student in the state, and the candidate is chosen by the Diesel Equipment Technology Instructors.
